Naples Soap Company was founded by Deanna Wallin who opened the company’s first location in November of 2009 with a small 300 square foot storefront in Tin City in downtown Naples, Florida. Today, the company operates 13 stores totaling more than 16,000 square feet of retail space in highly desirable tourist locations in Florida as well as a robust e-commerce website at naplessoap.com.
The company got its start when Wallin, a former nurse, was experimenting with formulating skin care products to help relieve her personal skin issues including psoriasis and eczema. “Ten years ago, people weren’t as hyper-focused on using natural products as they are today. Likewise, most of the major skin care companies didn’t feature natural or organic ingredients in their products,” said Wallin, Naples Soap Company’s founder and CEO. “I had tried virtually every skin care product on the market as well as countless prescriptions, none of which provided much relief. It wasn’t until I started experimenting with ingredients like cocoa butter, olive oil and shea butter that I saw improvements in my skin. After sharing my skin care formulations with friends and family, I came to realize that I was on to something bigger than making small batches at home.”
The privately held company, which is projected to hit $10 million in sales in 2020, produces more than 450 private labeled skin and hair products. In addition to company-owned retail stores and online sales, Naples Soap Company is sold nationwide through a network of retailers including Dillard’s Department Stores, Woodhouse Day Spas, and other boutiques and spas.

Naples Soap Company currently employs more than 75 sales associates, support staff and management team members in Naples, Estero, Fort Myers, Sanibel, Punta Gorda, Lakewood Ranch, St Petersburg, Destin, Panama City Beach, Mount Dora and Cocoa, Florida. The company plans to open three to five new stores within the next 12-24 months.
